Halloway, Eldrich

Head of the Halloway Trading Company. Son of Eld Halloway, Grandson of El. Ruler of Civitas.

Eldrich Halloway, a talented, Arcaneum-trained mage even without the famous last name, used his access to his lineage's artifacts and notes to create a vast empire of wealth based on his trading company.

After assisting a senator with their bid for re-election, Halloway entered politics, crafting policies that favored magic users from the Arcaneum in Priomh for magic store licensure. A rift in that friendship caused Eldrich to refocus only on his company.

Until one night, when he was attending a supper, where he heard people mocking him for attempting to be so insular and racist. Furious, Halloway began an aggressive campaign aimed at non-magic users, leveraging the anxiety of the humans in Civitas to win favor in elections. Once he won his Senate seat, he refused to divest from his company, claiming the people who had elected him gave him a mandate to fulfill his destiny.

Within 8 years, he fulfilled his largest political ambitions by dissolving the Senate and Judiciary in favor of the Mage's Council. Twenty years later, after several scandals and trials, Eldrich Halloway dissolved the Mage's Council.

Since then, he has ruled country and company, and is looking to expand his reach.
